Accor Hotels Kicks Off Recruitment Efforts

Accor Hotels, the leading hotel group in Vietnam, kicked off their search for local and young talent during their Career Fair on Wednesday at the Sofitel Plaza Hanoi. Hanoi Tourism Department Leaders, representatives from universities in Hanoi, and about 1,000 graduates went to the career fair. Accor Hotels’ fair targets to raise the awareness of career opportunities within the industry of hospitality and also to attract the talented and youthful Vietnamese into the burgeoning sector.

Irene Cheong, the Director of Human Resources for Accor Hotels in the Philippines and Vietnam, said that they are facing challenges currently in recruiting a big staff who has the right attitude about service, as well as share their commitment for offering guests an experience that is world-class, with over 10 hotels being opened in the pipeline. Jobs in the industry involve working long hours and shifts, she says, and it is a constant challenge to retain and attract good staff.

The career fair is a demonstration of the commitment from Accor Hotels in providing their probable staff with a view of the opportunities that are available to them first hand with with the company and provides the company with the opportunity to interview job seekers in large amounts. There are more than 1,000 jobs in Vietnam that are available from the company.
